Sky News has partnered with Amazon Web Services for the big event.
As spectators prepare to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot at Windsor Castle this weekend, Sky News partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enhance its delivery of the event with machine learning capabilities.
The mobile app, called “The Royal Wedding: Who’s Who”, will identify and highlight A-List celebrity guests as they appear on screen, describing their connection to the Royal Couple.
The video processing will be directed by AWS Elemental MediaLive Service outside St George’s Chapel to an AWS Elemental appliance. GreyMeta data analysis will then be combined with Amazon’s Recognition video and image service to bring real-time identification of celebrities tagged with related information.
